A 48 Hour Magazine?

Posted by & filed under Publishing.

If you’ve been following @FlamingoMag on Twitter at any point over the weekend, you may have seen us frantically tweeting about Stack Magazine‘s 48 hour magazine project.

As part of the Festival of Britain’s 60th anniversary celebrations, Stack brought together a bunch of indie publishers, writers, photographers, illustrators and designers to accomplish the near impossible dream – creating a 20 page tabloid in 48 hours.

Our newsroom was tucked into a corner of the Royal Festival Hall, and we were joined throughout the weekend by kids and adults wondering what the hell we were up to. Well, the photographs below pretty much say it all. To see our Flickr photosteam in full, go to www.flickr.com/photos/48hrstackmag/.

The magazine, entitled Makeshift, will be available for free around the Southbank centre from some time next week. Can’t wait to see it!
